A sensible person knows nothing on this earth grows forever. Why do politicians left and right talk about perpetual growth?
Economics needs a physical and moral accounting.

Economics is a bastard science. It doesn't take into account the simple fact that we live on a finite planet of limited resources.

Looking at life through a strictly economic lens, a multi-car pile up on the highway is more beneficial to society than a woman sitting at home breast feeding her child. Why? The former generates money.

Economics provides no moral component. An oven is used for cooking; whether it's humans or chickens is of no import to an economic spreadsheet.

We need an economics that counts for the real-world impacts, not an abstract money system disconnected from physical reality.
